TRAINING CENTER
The Piping Industry Training Center is committed to serving both Labor and
Management of the Piping Industry of
Northwest, Ohio. Funded by contractors listed on this website, the center continues to achieve excellence as evidenced by the many awards given to the center and its students.
Recently, the center earned statewide recognition for their exceptional training programs in HVACR, plumbing and pipefitting. In response to the receipt of the Ohio State Apprentice Council 2009 Apprenticeship Award, MCA NW Ohio President John Gray shared the following thoughts in an industry press release.
"The work our skilled craftspeople perform is becoming increasingly complex and technical; it is often dangerous and executed in extreme environments. To facilitate such work, our contractors use their financial resources to fund quality and effective training programs conducted at our Piping Industry Training Center."
The award was given to the registered apprentice program in good standing that has demonstrated innovation, continous improvements with statistical results, and performance outcomes above the standard. (Photo below provided by Anne Saloff of the Piping Industry Training Center.)
